Seal-Tite is celebrating a milestone that few companies achieve … it’s 125th anniversary. Consider, the company opened its doors in 1900 and has survived the Great Recession, multiple World Wars, survived the test of time and saw Y2K while also seeing the advent of computers and the transition from when business was dominated by phone and mail, through the transition to the fax machine and dial-up to now AI!
The four principles that the company was founded upon still guide the company as it delivers prefabricated galvanized duct, pipe & fittings to HVAC distributors to serve their contractors.
Seal-Tite Celebrates 125
According to a press release:
“In the spring of 1900, the Peck-Williamson Heating Co. commissioned its sheet metal shop in downtown Cincinnati and the Seal-Tite brand of galvanized ductwork was born. Galvanized sheet metal duct, pipe & fittings were needed to distribute air from central furnace systems to every room in the house. Peck – Williamson (later known as The Williamson Furnace Co.) was one of the first manufacturers of central furnace systems and decided to manufacture its own brand of galvanized ductwork.
In 1982 Seal-Tite’s manufacturing plant was moved from Cincinnati to Hillsboro in Highland County, Ohio. For the past 125 years the finest HVAC technicians and craftsmen have insisted on installing Seal-Tite, galvanized duct, pipe and fittings. These contractors, their wholesalers and our customer service, shipping and manufacturing teams have contributed greatly to the growth and success of Seal-Tite.
As we enter our 125th year in business we want to thank the HVAC industry, all our customers and employees and invite each of you to continue to share in our partnership and success in our future.
